A unique special order 996 RSR built for the 2004 24 hours of Nurburgring.  The money backers were PMC Sport but Olaf Manthey directed the build with Porsche and Manthay handled all the testing development and track activities.  Olaf Manthey put the car on the pole in a development VLN race and it was actually a Manthey entry at the 24 hours race in 2004.  Manthey confirmed via e-mail as well as Marc Gindorf (main driver for Manthey).

It had changed hands in Japan whilst stored for ten years only once. This car is the only 996 GT3 RSR that Porsche ever produced with a 3.8L motor, with factory unrestricted intake, different cams and map. It also featured power brake booster and Motorsport ABS system that was programmed for the wider wheels and wider tires used on the front of this car.
